Here's how it works and what you need to know:
We offer 10 different types of gymnastics classes: Tiny Tots, Preschool, Kinder and 1st, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Pre Team, Rec Team, Beginner and Experienced Tumbling.
Most classes meet once per week for the entire school year (September-June). The tuition column below shows the cost per month. For example, if you sign up for the Tiny Tots class on Tuesdays at 10:30 am, you would come to class every Tuesday from September-June and you would pay a monthly tuition of $76.
From 18 months through 6 years old, the classes are grouped by age. Beginning at 7 years old, the classes are grouped by skill level.
Remember, school year classes run from September through June and have a monthly tuition fee. The first month's tuition is due when you sign up, and future monthly tuitions are payed through our convenient monthly auto-pay system. Tuition is based on 4 classes a month, however, if there are months with more (or less) than 4, your tuition is prorated.
We offer a 10% off discount for a sibling or a 2nd class, and 15% off every other sibling or additional class.
You may sign up, or change days, at any time, as long as there is room in the class.
You can sign up by clicking the 'register' link beside a class below. You can also stop by, or give us a call.

The Tiny Tots class is an introductory program for parents/caregivers AND children. This class has age appropriate structure at the beginning and end of class along with play-based learning in the middle. At the start of the class, the teacher briefly demonstrates skills and exercises, giving the children ideas of what they can try on the equipment. Then it's time to explore! Parents/caregivers follow their child, observing and encouraging them as they interact with the teacher and their peers. Stations are set up around the gym so students have many opportunities to swing, hang, balance, jump, climb, roll, run, slide and take turns. The class concludes with 'circle time', where children are introduced to gymnastics terminology (tuck, straddle, pike, etc.) and practice following along with the teacher. Class ends with a song and a sticker.
Caleb Vexler takes the Tiny Tot class with his Grandmother, Anne.
In this small group format, children who are ready for their first 'big kid' class work on beginner skills while parents/caregivers watch from the lobby. They practice progressions for handstands and cartwheels and learn proper technique for landing and rolling. Stations and obstacle courses keep the class moving while refining gross motor skills like jumping, balancing, swinging and climbing. Children practice taking turns on the trampoline, tumble track and in the foam pit. This class is a big step for your little one! Watch their confidence grow as they go in to class independently and follow instructions from their teacher.
Kinder and 1st
In this class, children learn basic gymnastic skills and concepts on the bars, beam, floor, tumble track, and trampoline. The class begins with a short cardio focused warm up. Then the group moves through different stations and obstacle courses around the gym. You'll see them learning and refining skills like cartwheels, rolls, handstands, and bridges. Instructors demonstrate stations ("watch me while I show you..."), utilize props ("one foot on each circle"), play games ("let's see how many points we can get as a group"), encourage repetition ("that was such a good effort, can you try it again but this time stand up without using your hands?") and use colorful language ("easy-peasey-lemon-squeezy") to illuminate the lessons and create space for each child's learning style.
This class is for children new to gymnastics or kids still working on the basics. Students work on progressions and fundamental skills like forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, front support forward rolls, pullovers, and seat drops. Instructors challenge each child, encouraging proper form and technique as they progress through the curriculum. Skill combinations are introduced, along with cross floor tumbling and routine work. Your little athlete will love the combination of exercise, learning and FUN!
This class is for kids who have a solid cartwheel, forward roll and seat drop on the trampoline. Click the links for examples. The class will begin progressions for more advanced gymnastics skills like round offs, walkovers and handstand forward rolls. Sign up for this class if your child has a good cartwheel, loves being upside down and is excited to learn new skills! Give us a call if you need help choosing a class, 413-256-6990.

OLDER KID TUMBLING
Do you have a pre-teen or teenager interested in learning to flip? This class is for older kids who are either complete beginners or have experience and want to learn more. The class focus is mainly tumbling and trampoline...with very little time spent on bars or beam. It's the perfect place to practice flipping in a forgiving (soft surface) environment. Instructors utilize large mats, wedges and barrels to assist kids learning front/back handsprings, aerials and front/back flips. Each class begins with a lively cardio based warm up followed by cross tumbling and skill work on the floor, trampoline and tumble track. A brief 'choice time' is built in to the class, giving kids the structured freedom to direct their own learning. All genders and abilities welcome. The only pre-requisite is the desire to learn.
PRE TEAM (INVITATION ONLY)
This is an 'invitation only' class preparing students for the competitive rec team. If you are new to Hampshire Gymnastics, please call us to schedule an evaluation (413-256-6990) to see if this class is appropriate for your child.
