Annemarie is from Milton, MA and has been with us for 29 years. She started her gymnastics career as a "yard" gymnast with her sibling and performed before the captive audience of her parents' dinner guests! Annemarie joined the gymnastics team and competed for 4 years at Milton High School and continued her gymnastics career at Boston State College from 1977-1980. Annemarie moved to Western Mass with her family in 1981. When her 1st born child turned 3 in 1985, Annemarie started working at Hampshire Gymnastics School and have been with us ever since, coaching classes and team. In the 90's, Annemarie and her husband Bobby started a traveling Birthday Party business that eventually settled at Hampshire Gymnastics School. Annemarie has had so many gymnasts that have influenced her love of gymnastics starting with Olga Corbett that she will discuss at a later time! She loves the sport of gymnastics and is very happy sharing and spreading the joy of gymnastics while building the confidence, self esteem, body and minds of the coming generations.
Kacey is from Amherst, MA and has been with us for 19 years. She was on the gymnastics team at UMass with Anne, and has coached the team here at Hampshire Gymnastics, as well as varsity high school teams in Nashua, NH, and South Hadley, MA. Kacey is retired from 22 years of public school where she was a physical education teacher at Crocker Farm and Wildwood Elementary Schools in Amherst. She love's teaching the preschoolers, and thinks the staff and students are awesome here at Hampshire Gymnastics! Kacey's favorite gymnast is Mary Lou Retton, as she saw her compete in Los Angeles in the 1984 Olympics. Her favorite event to watch is beam, but favorite event to do was vault. Kacey currently coaches varsity softball and volleyball at Amherst Regional High School, which she has done for 16 years. Her teams have won 5 Western Mass Championships. Kacey's future plans are to stay active, engaged, and to relax!

Brittany is from Amherst, MA and has been with us for 15 years. She is a senior at Springfield College and will graduate with a BS in health sciences in the spring of 2014. Brittany started taking gymnastics classes when she was 7-years-old and continued through high school. Brittany has been working about 7 of the 15 years, subbing for classes and teaching summer camp. She joined the team and began competing when she was 10 years old where she finished club gymnastics as a level 10 in high school. Brittany went on to compete as an All-Around competitor on the Springfield College gymnastics team. She has coached gymnastics and taught several summer camps over the years and is excited to be teaching her own class this year! One of Brittany's favorite gymnasts of all time is Shannon Miller. Her grace and power is inspirational. Brittany is also a fan of Carly Patterson and her gold medal performance at the 2004 Olympics. At 13-years-old Brittany was in awe of her accomplishment. Brittany's favorite evens are beam and floor. She loves the challenge of trying new flips and leaps on the narrow beam and loves the tumbling on floor and unique dance that shows off each gymnast’s personality. When Brittany was 11 years old her family lived in Kazakhstan for a year where she also competed so Brittany is an international gymnast! While at Springfield College Brittany qualified for Nationals 3 times! She is an All-American in the All-Around, Vault and twice for Beam. During her senior year, Brittany recovered from two Achilles ruptures to compete for her team and claimed 3 of those All-American titles. She was also awarded the 2013 senior individual athlete of the year by Springfield College! Brittany plans on attending graduate school for Physician Assistant studies in the near future.

Siena is from Canton, MA and has been with us for 3 years. She started gymnastics on and off at the age of 5 but got serious about it at 10 years old. Through middle school Siena did prep-op and entered the team at the Gymnastics Academy of Boston in 8th grade. When she was 13-16 years old she began helping out at G.A.B. with birthday parties, meets and ‘assistant coaching’. When Siena entered high school, she was on the G.A.B. team as well as the high school gymnastics team. Half way through her freshman year of high school, Siena had an accident during a practice and ended up in the hospital for a few weeks. During her sophomore year of high school, Siena got the O-K to go back to gymnastics and had a lot of catching up to do. She went back to her high school team where she competed and became captain her senior year. After graduating high school, Siena knew that coaching was something she loved and is very fortunate that Hampshire Gymnastics is so close to UMass Amherst, where she attends school. Siena's favorite events to compete are bars and floor, but her favorite event to coach is all of them! She enjoys helping children and watching them progress and make coaching worthwhile. Siena is in her junior year on track to earn her Public Health degree with a minor in Psychology.

Josh is from Canton, MA and has been with us for a year. He competed in gymnastics from ages 7-16 getting all the way up to level 10. Josh has been coaching since he was 14 in several different gyms including Somersaults, The Academy of Gymnastics, Gymnastics Academy of Boston, and now Hampshire Gymnastics. His favorite event is Vault because of its simplicity and thinks it is easy to see where a mistake is made or where it can be improved upon. Vault has always made sense to Josh because of how it is based in physics. Being a math person it was easy for him to see and understand what he had to do better after each vault. Because vault was easy for him to understand, Josh came in second two years in a row on the event at Regional’s in levels 7 and 8. He is a sophomore at UMass Amherst, double majoring in Sport Management and Operations and Information Management. Josh plans to one-day work in the front office of a Major League Baseball team.
